Exploring how music can help people connect.

Artsahealing brings musicians and researchers into conversation about music, human connection and healing. Tommy is named as a team member alongside psychiatrist and musician Bruce Victor and singer-songwriter Bróna McVittie.

From performance to discussion

At the July 2023 seminar in Rostrevor, Tommy, Bruce Victor, Bróna McVittie and Gabriel Scally explored psychological, biological, social and cultural perspectives. Audience members were invited to share experiences of their own.

A developing collaboration

The inaugural 2022 seminar combined talks and performances, followed by a Music of Healing Concert. Artsawonder’s record also includes its first academic Artsahealing conference at King’s College, Cambridge, in May 2023.

Across music and medicine

The team’s work connects with people in both the arts and health. Artsahealing lists Harvard physician and musician Lisa Wong among its advisers. Its website brings together accounts, film and research references for visitors who want to explore those connections further.
