Your music.
Ready to listen.

Download it, keep it, play it your way.

A music download is a file you save and keep. Songs download as audio files; an album may provide separate song links or an archive, as described with the purchase. Buying it here does not automatically add it to Spotify or Apple Music.

Four simple steps

  1. Use your purchase download link and let the download finish.
  2. Look in your browser’s downloads list or your device’s Downloads folder. On an iPhone or iPad, check Downloads in the Files app; it may be under iCloud Drive or On My iPhone.
  3. If your download ends in .zip, extract it first to see the songs. On iPhone or iPad, tap the ZIP in Files. On a Mac, double-click it. On Windows, right-click and choose Extract All. On Android, use your file manager’s Extract option if available.
  4. Open a song with an audio player. Keep a backup of your downloaded files.

Our customer music downloads use MP3, for convenient playback and smaller downloads. Original recording masters are not offered for download. If an album is supplied as a ZIP, extract it to find the MP3 songs.

Choose where to listen

Start with your device, or add the songs to an app you already use.

iPhone or iPad — play from Files

Find the downloaded song in Files and tap it to preview it if the format is supported. For playlists and continuous album playback, use a compatible music player. Saving a file in Files does not put it in Apple’s Music library.

Android — play your downloaded songs

Open Files or your file manager, look in Downloads and select a song. Choose an installed audio player when asked. For album playback, open the extracted album folder in a player that supports local music.

Spotify — listen to your own files

Use the downloaded MP3 songs for this route. Extract any ZIP first.

In the phone app, enable Local audio files in Settings and privacy → Apps and devices, and allow the requested file access. On iPhone, use Files to copy the songs into On My iPhone → Spotify. On Android, keep the songs downloaded on the device. Find them in Spotify’s Local Files collection.

On a computer, enable Show Local Files in Spotify’s settings and select the folder containing your songs. Files must be available on each device where you want to play them; this does not publish them to Spotify’s catalogue.

Apple Music — add songs to your library

On Mac, open Music; on Windows, open Apple Music and import the downloaded songs or their folder. Keep the files in a permanent location, or choose the app’s option to copy them into its media folder.

For an iPhone or iPad, import on your computer first, then sync using Finder on Mac or Apple Devices on Windows. Alternatively, Apple Music subscribers can enable Sync Library on their computer and phone instead. A download in Safari does not automatically enter the Music library. Playing your own imported files on a computer does not require an Apple Music streaming subscription.

Something is not playing

Check that the download finished, extract any ZIP, and try opening an individual song. If your player does not support that file type, use a compatible player. Keep your purchase link private. If a link has expired, you need help with the purchase rather than another payment.
